License Agreement

This license is a legal agreement between you and Enlightn Software (the "Company" or "we").

This agreement governs your acquisition and use of our Enlightn Pro software (the "Software") directly from Enlightn Software or indirectly through an Enlightn Software authorized reseller or distributor (a "Reseller").

By downloading or using any Enlightn Pro files or resources, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of this license. Enlightn Software reserves the right to alter this agreement at any time, for any reason, without notice.

Enlightn OSS

Note that this agreement does not cover the license of Enlightn OSS (open source software) and is only meant for the commercial Enlightn Pro software. Enlightn OSS is covered under an LGPLv3 license and it's license terms can be found on the Enlightn OSS Github repository.

Permitted Use

One Enlightn Pro license grants the right to use the Software on one site and unlimited development sites. Each additional site using the Software requires an additional purchased license. This applies for all types of licenses.

The Solo Developer license is valid if you are working independently without a team (and not as part of a company) and earn less than US$50,000 in annual gross income (without deductions of applicable taxes).

If the Solo Developer license does not apply to you, you must purchase the Business & Teams license or the Enterprise license for the Enlightn Pro software.

Unless you have been granted prior, written consent from Enlightn Software, you may not:

  • Reproduce, distribute, resell or otherwise transfer the Software, or portions thereof, to any third party.
  • Sell, rent, lease, assign, or sublet the Software or portions thereof.
  • Grant the rights to use the software to any other person.
  • Use the Software in violation of any applicable local, national or international law or regulation.
  • Use the Software for any purpose that Enlightn Software considers as a breach of this agreement.

You may, without any consent from Enlightn software, do any of the following:

  • Make copies of the Software for back-up purposes, provided that you reproduce the Software in its original form and with all proprietary notices on the back-up copy.
  • Alter, modify, or extend the Software for your own use, or commission a third-party to perform modifications for you. You may not however, resell, distribute or transfer the modified or derivative version of the Software without prior written consent from Enlightn Software.

Intellectual Property and Ownership

Enlightn Software shall at all times retain ownership of the Software as originally downloaded by you and all subsequent downloads of the Software by you. The Software (and the copyright, and other intellectual property rights of whatever nature in the Software) are and shall remain the property of Enlightn Software.

License Validity

All Software licenses are valid forever. However, each license supports a specific range of Laravel versions. For instance, the Enlightn Pro 1.0+ series supports Laravel versions 6 to 8. Any releases subsequent to these Laravel versions may be covered under a separate license and separate software code.

Technical Support

All software is supported until the end-of-life term for the underlying Laravel version. For instance, the Enlightn Pro 1.0+ series software supports Laravel 6 to 8. Since Laravel 6 security fixes are valid until September 2022, the Enlightn Pro 1.0+ license series will also extend support until the same period. Beyond this period, support will not be provided.

All technical support can be requested via e-mails to support@laravel-enlightn.com. Technical support is limited to bug reports and feature requests. Features may be requested but there is no guarantee that they will be implemented by Enlightn Software. No support will be provided to diagnose or advise application-level code issues.

We will try to respond within 1 working day (for Enterprise license owners), 2 working days (for Business & Teams license owners) and within 4 working days (for Solo Developer license owners) of the email.

Refund Policy

If you are not satisfied with the Software, you may email us at support@laravel-enlightn.com within 14 days of your purchase to request for a refund.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Enlightn Software for any third-party claims, actions or suits, as well as any related expenses, liabilities, damages, settlements or fees arising from your use or misuse of the Software, or a violation of any terms of this license.

Disclaimer of Warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF QUALITY, PERFORMANCE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, MERCHANTABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. FURTHER, ENLIGHTN SOFTWARE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE OR ANY RELATED SERVICE WILL ALWAYS BE AVAILABLE.

Limitations of Liability

YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH THE INSTALLATION AND USE OF THE SOFTWARE. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS OF THE SOFTWARE BE LIABLE FOR CLAIMS, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE. LICENSE HOLDERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS OF USE AND ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ITS USE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE RISKS OF PROGRAM ERRORS, DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT, LOSS OF DATA OR SOFTWARE PROGRAMS, OR UNAVAILABILITY OR INTERRUPTION OF OPERATIONS.
